Creating a Daily Spiritual Practice

ree

Good morning! Well, it's morning for me right now. I'm sitting on my back deck facing the east, and the Sun, soaking in the energy I just created from my spiritual practice.I'm feeling inspired to guide you in creating your own practice so that you too, can feel this bliss.

I want to really walk you in depth through the steps to creating your spiritual practice, and I'm going to use my personal soul work right now for examples.

I want you to keep in mind that a daily spiritual practice is not for wellness, or routine, or to help you be a better yogi. I mean, these are all things that come with having a spiritual practice. But a daily practice is really about connecting to the self through the self, listening to your soul, getting aligned with the universe, and a deep inner knowing of where your purpose lies.

If at any time your practice feels less in tune and more obligation, something needs to shift.

Okay, let's dive in!

The first step to creating a practice is identifying what it is you're currently working on. I mean this on a soul level. So it's not about starting a new business, or being a good wife, or saving money for a new house. But what on a SOUL level are you working on?

For me currently, I am working on healing my imposter syndrome, healing my throat chakra and releasing my ego.

So once you've identified what is you want to work on, you can start gathering all of the tools you'll need to incorporate into your practice for this identified subject.

These are the elements I gather:

  • crystals that go with my intention

  • mantras

  • intention word

  • yoga flow to match

  • visualization

  • gratitude for what I am already doing well in that area

  • where I want to focus for the future

  • journal for progress and insight

  • meditation

  • affirmation

  • any skills I am practicing that go along with it

Let me go in a little deeper on each of these elements so you understand, and then we will move to building it into ritual.

Crystals

Crystals work in your practice to raise your vibration and give you their healing energy. Each crystal owns and promotes it's own special energy. Choosing a crystal that holds the energy that you're working on is key.

Mantras

Mantras are words or phrases you repeat to help with intention setting and deepening concentration.

Intention Word

When we do our practice, if we don't know our intention, it's aimless. Bring yourself back to this word throughout.

Yoga Flow

A way to connect mind, body, soul. Also connects the right and left hemisphere of the brain, increasing neuroplasticity needed for growth.

Visualization

What we think, we believe, we become. Visualizing is a powerful manifestation tool, as your brain doesn't know the difference between thoughts and reality. It believes whatever you say and see in your mind as if it's real.

Gratitude

To promote high frequency which helps call in what you're working toward.

Goal

What will the deepening of this soul work look like for you?

Journal

Not only is it your before and after picture, it's the best way to deepen your intuition, receive downloads, and connect the dots. The most change for me spiritually occurs during insights while I'm journaling!

Meditation

Against declutter the mind, find your inner knowing and receive downloads.

Affirmation

A phrase you create to repeat regularly as a reminder and to reprogram your brain.

Skills

These are going to be practices & techniques you're learning from your life coach to deepen the work.

Ok, so we have all the tools-let's make it a ritual!

So most of these tools are going to be utilized together, during your allotted time of ritual. But some of them are to extend ritual throughout your day.

What I would recommend is picking a time of day and a length of time to practice each day. For me, I do it in the afternoon for about an hour.

During this time, you will: set your intention, use your crystals, do a yoga flow followed by a meditation and visualization, express gratitude for your practice and journal insights.

To set your intention you simply say to yourself or aloud: I will- XYZ.

Working on my throat chakra I might say: I will heal my throat chakra by focusing on my inner voice.

To use your crystals, pick your crystal of choice and either hold it, set it on your mat, or place it on your body if you're working on chakras.

For your yoga practice you can almost ALWAYS find a flow on youtube that aligns with your intention.

Then, meditate regarding what you're working on, repeating your mantra if struggling to concentrate. Again, you can almost always find a meditation on theme. I use the insight timer app for my meditations.

Next, Visualize yourself accomplishing this thing. What will that feel like?

Finally, express your gratitude to yourself and the universe and then journal. Journal whatever comes to mind! Journaling is where the juice is, I promise.

As for the goals, affirmations and skills-these occur in your day-to-day. You should always be thinking of your long-term goals and acting accordingly. Repeat your affirmations to yourself throughout the day, and I like to record mine on my phone and play them while i unwind in the evening. The skills you've been taught are also to be applied throughout your day or as instructed by your coach.

So essentially, you'll have about an hour dedicated to focusing on your spiritual practices and then incorporating your beliefs and inner works throughout your day as well.

Hopefully you found this guide helpful, as always feel free to DM me on IG or leave a comment on this post with any follow up questions.

Have yourself a beautiful day & a beautiful daily ritual!
